You would think that I for one would always know when God is leading me to do things I believe are impossible for me. I believe that He guides us, so why should I be totally amazed when things fall into place and/or go smoothly instead of the wacky way I am expecting? No, it's not always smooth and sometimes there is a little "heat" involved. (like the last post) But, sometimes you do or say things that you "just wouldn't do or say" in any usual setting or circumstance. Sometimes God just says MOVE IT NOW!
So, did I already ask...why are we so amazed???
One of my favorite parts of the Bible, which I shared with my second & third grade Sunday school class, is in Genesis when it says that God was WALKING IN THE GARDEN IN THE COOL OF THE DAY. Can you imagine, God walking in the garden????? Wow! How many times have I thought what it might have been like to actually have Him walking with me in the Garden of Eden...but then, what am I saying??? He is walking with me! He says He will never leave me! He has my name written on the palm of His hand! He guides my steps! What have I been thinking???????
My other favorite part is when Peter gets out of the boat, walking on water to Jesus. He takes his eyes off Him and begins to sink. (Matthew) No, that's not my favorite part yet, here it is. The Bible says "immediately", immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him. Even though Jesus gives him a hard time by telling him he was "of little faith" and "why did you doubt?" He still IMMEDIATELY put out His hand to save him from sinking. Many times in the Bible you can see the words immediately, straight away, and forthwith...Jesus says or does...and immediately they are healed, or believe.
So, back to me...why don't I, as a Believer, and a close friend, always know that He is always there with me and there for me, guiding my steps, trying to keep me afloat, and...He will always be there to catch me when I doubt???
Oh, me of little faith!
Here it is...God is good, all the time & all the time, God is good! I pray today that anyone and everyone reading this blog entry will keep their eyes on Him. That He will be the first one you go to for everything. That you know that He is the one that gives us EVERYTHING we have. He has been so good to us all. Do we have the faith that He will always be with us and catch us when we take our eyes off of Him and his Word?
Could that be a problem for you??? Will you trust Him today with your life and let Him hold your hand while you walk on water??? Keep Him in your sight!
